Manchester City, Barcelona reportedly ready to go all out to sign Erling Haaland
Manchester City and FC Barcelona are both ready to go all out in their bid to sign Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund, reports in Spain claim.
Erling Haaland’s future beyond the end of the season has been the subject of endless speculation in recent months. It is no secret that some of the biggest clubs in Europe are interested in signing the Borussia Dortmund striker. Manchester City and FC Barcelona are both in the race for Haaland. And reports in Spain are claiming that the two clubs are desperate to sign him.
According to Marca, Barcelona president Joan Laporta is doing everything he can to try and bring Haaland to the Camp Nou. The report adds that Barcelona are obsessed with ensuring that the Norwegian international does not end up joining their arch-rivals Real Madrid. And Laporta held a meeting with Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola not long ago.
Meanwhile, Diario Sport claim that Manchester City are ready to go all out in their attempts to sign Haaland. After failing to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur last summer, Pep Guardiola’s side have their sights set on signing Haaland. The report adds that they have already made contact with the 21 year old’s representatives.
The interest in Haaland hasn’t deterred Borussia Dortmund, who are keen on keeping the striker at the club for another season. The BVB bosses are set to hold talks with the striker’s camp in the coming weeks. Recent reports have claimed that they are even prepared to double his salary and make him the highest paid player at the club.
