Borussia Dortmund get the second half of their season underway this weekend with a tough away game in the Bundesliga against Eintracht Frankfurt.

The winter break is over and the second half of the 2021/22 Bundesliga season gets underway this weekend. And the headline fixture is undoubtedly Eintracht Frankfurt vs Borussia Dortmund. The two teams ended 2021 in contrasting fashion. While the Black and Yellows failed to win three of their last four games, Eintracht Frankfurt won six of their last seven.

Borussia Dortmund will now be looking to rediscover their form, and a win against Eintracht Frankfurt would go a long way in helping them do that. While their title challenge appears to be all but over, Marco Rose’s side still have plenty to play for in the second half of the season.

Manuel Akanji, Dan-Axel Zagadou, Gio Reyna and Marius Wolf will miss Saturday’s game for Borussia Dortmund. Eintracht Frankfurt will also have to make do without a number of important players, including Jesper Lindstrøm, Aymen Barkok, Danny da Costa and Jens Petter Hauge.
