Borussia Dortmund are reportedly set to hold initial talks with the Erling Haaland camp next week as they look to get some clarity on the striker’s future.

Erling Haaland’s future beyond the end of the season remains uncertain, with some of Europe’s biggest clubs in the hunt for his signature. Borussia Dortmund would like to keep the Norwegian international at the club for at least another season. And according to BILD, initial talks with the striker’s agent Mino Raiola and father Alf-Inge Haaland are set to take place in the coming week.

The tabloid adds that Borussia Dortmund want clarity on Erling Haaland’s future by the end of February at the latest.

Sebastian Kehl said last week that he is optimistic about Borussia Dortmund’s chances of keeping Haaland at the club for at least another season. The Black and Yellows are also said to be willing to make the 21 year old the club’s highest paid player in a bid to convince him to stay.

Real Madrid are leading the race for Haaland’s signature, while Manchester City and FC Barcelona are also interested in signing him. Manchester United, Chelsea and Paris St. Germain have also been linked with a move for Haaland in recent months. And speculation regarding his future is unlikely to die down anytime soon.
