Emre Can (6/10)

Can enjoyed a successful return to the starting XI after replacing the injured Manuel Akanji. Playing at right centre-back, the German international looked confident and did his defensive tasks really well. He also confidently slotted home the penalty to make it 6-0 late on.

Mats Hummels (6/10)

Hummels’ game was a bit of a mixed bag. He made a couple of sloppy passes, but also kept things very tight in defence. And he also played the most beautiful pass of the evening, which led to Marco Reus making it 5-0.

Dan-Axel Zagadou (6/10)

Zagadou was forced to come off late in the first half. But before that, he made a vital last ditch challenge to ensure Kobel’s miscalculated run did not result in a goal for Gladbach. He also received a yellow card for a sloppy challenge.
