Borussia Dortmund have been eliminated from the UEFA Europa League after they were held to a 2-2 draw in the second leg of their tie against Rangers.

Borussia Dortmund’s UEFA Europa League adventure is over after just two games. The Black and Yellows failed to pull off what would have been a stunning comeback in the second leg of their knockout round playoffs tie against Rangers, and now they only have the Bundesliga left to focus on for the rest of the season.

It was a well deserved Europa League exit for Borussia Dortmund, who were outplayed and outfought by Rangers for the majority of the tie. Rangers were the better team and punished Dortmund heavily for every sloppy error they made over the two legs.

Here are our player ratings for the Borussia Dortmund players from their 2-2 draw against Rangers.

Gregor Kobel (7/10)

Kobel was once again Borussia Dortmund’s top performer. And had it not been for him, Rangers would have won the second leg quite comfortably. He made a number of big saves to keep his side in the game. If only those in front of him performed at his level.
