Borussia Dortmund keeping tabs on Marseille midfielder Boubacar Kamara

Borussia Dortmund are said to be keeping a close eye on defensive midfielder Boubacar Kamara, who is set to leave Olympique Marseille on a free transfer in the summer.
With Axel Witsel set to leave when his contract expires at the end of the season, Borussia Dortmund are reportedly planning to bring in a new midfielder in the summer. And according to Ruhr Nachrichten, the Black and Yellows have been keeping tabs on highly rated French midfielder Boubacar Kamara.
The 22 year old is expected to leave Olympique Marseille on a free transfer in the summer, and a host of big clubs are interested in signing him. Manchester United, Atletico Madrid, AS Roma and Newcastle United have all been linked with a move for Kamara in recent months. While Marseille are also hoping to extend his contract before the end of the season.

Kamara has made 32 appearances for Olympique Marseille across all competitions this season, and has earned rave reviews for his performances.
Ruhr Nachrichten add that while Borussia Dortmund are interested in Kamara, he is not the club’s number one target for the number six role. Mahmoud Dahoud, Emre Can and Axel Witsel are the current defensive midfield options in the BVB squad.
The summer transfer window promises to be an eventful one for Borussia Dortmund as they look to overhaul the squad. Dortmund have been linked with a number of players in recent weeks. And it will be interesting to see how incoming sporting director Sebastian Kehl shapes the squad in his first transfer window in charge.
