Borussia Dortmund face competition from Bayern, Barcelona for Noussair Mazraoui’s signature
Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona appear set to go head to head with Borussia Dortmund in the race to sign Ajax right-back Noussair Mazraoui.
Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing Noussair Mazraoui, who is set to leave AFC Ajax when his contract expires at the end of the season. It has been reported that the BVB bosses have already held talks with the right-back’s agent Mino Raiola. And the Black and Yellows will face competition from the likes of FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich for his signature.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona have submitted a proposal to Mazraoui that will see him earn an annual salary of five million euros. He has also received an approach from Bayern Munich, although the Bundesliga champions have not yet made a final decision on whether they want to sign him. A number of other clubs are also said to be interested in signing the 24 year old, including AC Milan and Arsenal.
Mazraoui has made 28 appearances for Ajax so far this season, and has five goals and four assists to his name. He was also part of the Ajax team that beat Borussia Dortmund both home and away during the UEFA Champions League group stage earlier this season.
Right-back is an area that Borussia Dortmund could potentially look to bolster in the summer transfer window. Dortmund have also been linked with moves for Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong and Middlesbrough’s Djed Spence in recent weeks.
Thomas Meunier, Mateu Morey, Felix Passlack are the three right-backs in the Borussia Dortmund squad, while Marius Wolf can also play in that role.
