Borussia Dortmund claimed a hard fought win over Arminia Bielefeld on Sunday to close the gap to Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga standings.

Borussia Dortmund returned to winning ways on Sunday, as they beat Arminia Bielefeld 1-0 thanks to Marius Wolf’s first half effort. But their performance was far from a convincing one, and they were somewhat fortunate to come away with the three points in the end.

Marco Rose will be pleased that his players managed to get the job done. But he will also be mindful of the fact that there is plenty of work to be done for Borussia Dortmund to get back to the level we know they are capable of producing.

There were some encouraging performances from players who have been reduced to bit part roles this season. While Erling Haaland and Gio Reyna returned to action after recovering from their respective injuries.

Here are our player ratings for the Borussia Dortmund players from their 1-0 win over Arminia Bielefeld.

Gregor Kobel (6/10)

Kobel was only tested by the Arminia Bielefeld attack on a couple of occasions. And he managed to see off their efforts to make it three clean sheets in his last four Bundesliga games.
