Manuel Akanji

Like Haaland, Manuel Akanji also appears set to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer. The Swiss international has reportedly rejected Dortmund’s offer to extend his contract, and Ruhr Nachrichten claimed earlier this week that the chances of him staying are now close to zero.

Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move for Akanji in recent weeks. The defender’s contract is set to expire at the end of next season, so Borussia Dortmund will look to sell him this summer if an agreement over an extension cannot be reached. A move to the English Premier League appears to be the likeliest option.

Emre Can

Emre Can is another potential candidate for a summer move away from Borussia Dortmund. The versatile midfielder has become an important player for the Black and Yellows since joining from Juventus in January 2020. But his lack of consistency, especially in big games, has left fans frustrated on a number of occasions.

Can still has more than two years left on his Borussia Dortmund contract. But with the BVB bosses looking to bolster their defence and midfield, it is quite possible that he could be sold in the summer.
