Borussia Dortmund are being linked with a move for Borussia Mönchengladbach left-back Ramy Bensebaini, and the player is said to be very keen on the move.
A very interesting transfer window awaits Borussia Dortmund this summer as they look to overhaul their squad. Full-back is an area that the Black and Yellows would like to bolster this summer. And Foot Mercato claim that Dortmund are interested in signing Ramy Bensebaini from Borussia Mönchengladbach.
The report claims that Borussia Dortmund have already made contact with Gladbach regarding a move for Bensebaini. And the Foals want a transfer fee of 20 million euros for the 26 year old, who has just over one year left on his current contract. Bensebaini appears set to leave Gladbach this summer, and Foot Mercato add that he is very keen on making the switch to Borussia Dortmund.
Ruhr Nachrichten have confirmed that Borussia Dortmund are keeping tabs on Bensebaini. But he is not the club’s first-choice target for the left-back position. The newspaper adds that his contract situation, combined with the fact that Dortmund already have Nico Schulz in their ranks, could limit their chances of signing Bensebaini.
Bensebaini joined Borussia Mönchengladbach from Stade Rennais in 2019 and established himself as one of the Bundesliga’s top left-backs in two seasons under Marco Rose. The Algerian international has five goals and two assists to his name this season in just 19 appearances. He is primarily a left-back, but is also more than capable of playing at centre-back in a back three.
BVB are also said to be keeping tabs on TSG Hoffenheim’s David Raum, with reports claiming that they could consider making a move for him in 2023.
