Borussia Dortmund have reportedly reached an agreement in principle with RB Salzburg over the transfer of Karim Adeyemi. But talks over personal terms are proving to be difficult.

Borussia Dortmund have been leading the race for the signature of Karim Adeyemi for months now. It was recently reported that talks with RB Salzburg had stalled due to the difference between the two clubs’ valuations of the player. But according to Sky Sport, BVB and Salzburg have now reached an agreement in principle over the transfer fee following a breakthrough in negotiations this week.

The Black and Yellows will reportedly pay 35 million euros for the German international’s signature. But the transfer is by no means a done deal yet, as Sky Sport claim that talks between Borussia Dortmund and Adeyemi’s camp over personal terms are proving to be difficult.

It was reported earlier that Adeyemi and BVB have already reached an agreement on personal terms. But if Sky are to be believed, the two parties are still far apart when it comes to the potential clauses and bonus payments in the 20 year old’s contract.

Sky do add that all three parties (Borussia Dortmund, RB Salzburg and Karim Adeyemi) want the move to happen. But the forward is still said to be in talks with RB Leipzig, Liverpool and Paris St. Germain. So it will be interesting to see if Dortmund and Adeyemi’s representatives can reach an agreement in the coming weeks.
