Erling Haaland scored a brace and debutant Tom Rothe was also on the scoresheet as Borussia Dortmund claimed an incredible 6-1 win over Wolfsburg on Saturday.

Borussia Dortmund were in inspired form at the Signal Iduna Park on Saturday afternoon. They cruised to a stunning 6-1 win over Wolfsburg, with five of the six goals coming in the first half. A dominant first-half saw the Black and Yellows score five goals in a 14 minute period.

Tom Rothe opened the scoring for Dortmund, before Axel Witsel, Manuel Akanji, Emre Can and Erling Haaland gave Marco Rose’s side a five goal lead going into the break. Haaland then scored again in the second half, before Ridle Baku scored a consolation goal for Wolfsburg late on.

Here are our player ratings for the Borussia Dortmund players from their 6-1 win over Wolfsburg.

Gregor Kobel (8/10)

Kobel made a number of outstanding saves for Borussia Dortmund. Had it not been for his superb stop to deny Nmecha early on, the game could have taken a very different course. The Swiss goalkeeper was also very unlucky not to keep a clean sheet in the end.
