Sebastian Kehl revealed on Saturday that Borussia Dortmund haven’t received any enquiries yet for Erling Haaland, but reiterated that they want a decision on the striker’s future to be made as soon as possible.

Speculation about Erling Haaland’s future has dominated headlines over the last few months, with the Norwegian international attracting the interest of Manchester City and Real Madrid. Haaland appears set to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer, with the English Premier League side reportedly leading the race for his signature.

But Sebastian Kehl revealed on Saturday that the Black and Yellows have yet to receive any enquiries for Haaland. The incoming Borussia Dortmund sporting director also said that they want Haaland and his entourage to make a decision on the 21 year old’s future as soon as possible.

"In an interview with Sky Sport ahead of Borussia Dortmund’s game against VfL Wolfsburg, Kehl said:“There is an exit clause, it is well known, and there is a deadline. We want a decision as soon as possible. We are in talks, but there is nothing more to say about it. We have a very good, trusting relationship. The sooner there is a decision, the better it will be. And I hope it will be timely.”"

Haaland, who ended a five game goal drought by scoring a brace against Wolfsburg on Saturday, has a release clause of 75 million euros in his contract. The striker has yet to reveal to the club whether he is planning to stay or leave. However, all signs point to Haaland leaving Borussia Dortmund in the summer.

Haaland has scored 82 goals in 85 appearances since joining Borussia Dortmund from RB Salzburg in January 2020. He has been forced to deal with a number of injury problems this season, and Marco Rose revealed during his pre-match press conference earlier this week that he is playing through the pain barrier at the moment.
