Borussia Dortmund may look to sell Julian Brandt this coming summer should an acceptable offer be presented to the club.

Rumors surrounding transfers in and out of Borussia Dortmund continue to surface as we get closer and closer to the end of the season. This time, Julian Brandt is in the focus with BILD reporting that Dortmund may indeed be inclined to letting the German international go for the right price.

The speculation surrounding Brandt’s future comes at a time when his performances have been steadily improving. Brandt has been responsible for quite a few goals and assists in recent games, impressing against Stuttgart and Wolfsburg in particular.

Brandt also recently stated in an interview that he is not looking to leave Borussia Dortmund and that he has a good feeling about the way the team is developing. Marco Rose was also quick to heap praise on Brandt after his performance against Wolfsburg.

While Brandt’s season under Rose is an improvement over his showings from the year prior, the expectation was that when he signed from Bayer Leverkusen in 2019, his potential and performances would continue to grow in their influence on Dortmund’s play.

Brandt has had clear sparks of brilliance that indicate the talent is there; the consistency however has been harder to come by.

It remains to be seen what the future actually holds for Julian Brandt and whether he will indeed be a Borussia Dortmund player next season, but credit is due to the player for making strides and improving over the course of the last few games. His impact and influence has been more clearly felt, and these performances will surely have a say in the final decision the club and player make about their joint futures come the summer transfer window.
