Report: Borussia Dortmund willing to sell Julian Brandt for the right price
Borussia Dortmund are said to be willing to sell Julian Brandt this summer, but only if they receive a suitable offer for the playmaker.
Julian Brandt could be on his way out of Borussia Dortmund this summer, with Sky Sport claiming that those in charge at the club would be willing to sell him if they receive a suitable offer. The report adds that Marco Rose was the only person in charge who wanted to keep the 26 year old at the club. But following his departure, Brandt could face an uncertain future.
Brandt is coming off arguably his best season in Borussia Dortmund colours. The attacking midfielder scored nine goals and assisted a further ten in 40 appearances in the recently concluded campaign. While he did struggle to find his consistency at times, he also managed to show just how good he can be on a number of occasions.
Brandt’s performances also saw him return to the Germany squad in March. And he has been included in the national team squad for next month’s UEFA Nations League fixtures as well.
Julian Brandt said last month that he would like to stay at Borussia Dortmund beyond the end of the season, adding that he feels comfortable at the club.
But the BVB bosses may look to part ways with him this summer as part of their squad overhaul. Brandt still has two years left on his Borussia Dortmund contract. The former Bayer Leverkusen star has 20 goals and 25 assists to his name in 127 appearances for the Black and Yellows.
