Highly rated Borussia Dortmund striker Bradley Fink has said that being compared to Erling Haaland is high praise and a reward for all his hard work.

Bradley Fink is considered to be one of the most exciting young talents in the Borussia Dortmund ranks. The highly rated striker is coming off an excellent season, and he scored the winner against Hertha Berlin on Sunday afternoon as the young Black and Yellows won the U-19 German Championship.

The goal against Hertha on Sunday was Bradley Fink’s 36th of the season in just his 40th appearance. 34 of those goals have come in just 30 appearances for the Borussia Dortmund U-19s. The 19 year old’s scoring prowess has seen him draw comparisons to Erling Haaland. And he was asked about those comparisons after the game.

"In an interview with Sky Sport (H/T: Ruhr24), Fink said: “That’s high praise. When people compare me to Erling Haaland, I can only be grateful. It makes all the hard work worth it when you’re compared to him.”"

Fink is set to take the next step in his career next season. The plan is that he will permanently move up to the Borussia Dortmund U-23s team, who play in the 3. Liga. The Switzerland youth international got his first taste of professional football this season, as he made ten appearances for BVB II in the 3. Liga and scored two goals.

Fink’s goal remains to play for the first-team. And if he keeps scoring goals like he did this season, he could certainly get his opportunity in the coming months. “My goal is to knock on the door of the first-team,” Fink added. “It’s not clear yet where I’ll be playing (next season). No matter where that ends up being, I’ll give my 100 percent.”
