Borussia Dortmund have reportedly made Sebastien Haller their top target to replace Erling Haaland, and they are ready to pay a transfer fee of 33 million euros plus bonuses to sign the Ajax striker.

There has been plenty of speculation regarding Borussia Dortmund’s search for a new striker in recent weeks. According to BILD, the Black and Yellows have decided to pursue a move for Sebastien Haller and the striker is also keen to join the club.

The tabloid claims that Borussia Dortmund are only willing to pay 33 million euros plus bonuses for the 27 year old, while Ajax want a transfer fee of 38 million euros plus bonuses. On the other hand, De Telegraaf report that Dortmund’s offer will be very hard to turn down for Ajax.

Haller is coming off an impressive season with Ajax. He scored 34 goals in 42 appearances across all competitions, including 11 in just eight UEFA Champions League games. The former Eintracht Frankfurt striker is said to be willing to turn down more lucrative offers from the English Premier League to make his return to the Bundesliga.

Borussia Dortmund have long held an interest in Haller, and they believe that he would be the ideal replacement for the Manchester City-bound Erling Haaland. BILD add that Sasa Kalajdzic is Dortmund’s plan B if a move for Haller does not work out.

Ruhr Nachrichten reported on Saturday that Kalajdzic is not as high on BVB’s list of targets as has been reported. Lucas Alario is said to be another striker they could consider as a short-term fix.
