Borussia Dortmund will be in action again on Thursday as they take on 3. Liga side SC Verl in their third pre-season friendly of the summer.
Edin Terzic could welcome Marco Reus back into the squad as Borussia Dortmund go up against SC Verl in their third pre-season friendly of the summer.
According to Ruhr Nachrichten, the game will come too soon for new signings Sebastien Haller, Karim Adeyemi, Nico Schlotterbeck, Niklas Süle and Salih Özcan. The other players who were on international duty for their respective nations last month will also miss out, having only returned to training on Monday.
But Marco Reus looks set to return to the squad. Gio Reyna will miss Thursday’s game, while Emre Can and Donyell Malen are also unlikely to feature.

Only a handful of first-team players were available for Borussia Dortmund’s first two pre-season friendlies. And a number of players from the U-23s and U-19s team were able to feature as a result, with highly rated wing-back Prince Aning one of the standout performers. It will be interesting to see which youngsters get the opportunity to impress on Thursday.
SC Verl finished 16th in the 3. Liga standings last season, and they will certainly be determined to make things difficult for Borussia Dortmund.
The Black and Yellows are set to head to Switzerland for a week long training camp on Friday. And Edin Terzic will be hoping to use Thursday’s game to help build the match rhythm of his players, with the first competitive game of the season just a fortnight away.
