Nico Schulz is free to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer, but the left-back is said to have rejected several offers from Germany and abroad in recent weeks.

Borussia Dortmund are hoping to sell Nico Schulz this summer, but it still remains to be seen if a potential transfer will come to fruition. According to n-tv sport, the left-back has already turned down a number of approaches from clubs in Germany and abroad in recent weeks.

Nico Schulz’ agent Roger Wittmann said last month that his client is very open to a move away from Borussia Dortmund this summer. But he will not leave the club just for the sake of a transfer.

Ruhr Nachrichten reported earlier this week that the 29 year old is set to be left out of the club’s squad for their pre-season training camp in Bad Ragaz. However, BILD claim that he will be on the plane to Switzerland.

Highly rated duo Prince Aning and Tom Rothe have moved ahead of Schulz in the pecking order for left-backs at Borussia Dortmund. And it remains to be seen if the former Germany international will ever play again for the Black and Yellows.

The BVB bosses are also keen to sign David Raum, but they will first need to sell some players in order to generate the funds required to sign him.

Nico Schulz, who joined Borussia Dortmund from TSG Hoffenheim in 2019 for a fee in the region of 25 million euros, still has two years left on his current contract with the club.
