Borussia Dortmund have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Luis Suarez as a potential stop-gap replacement for Sebastien Haller.

Borussia Dortmund are still reeling from the shock news of a testicular tumour being discovered during Sebastien Haller’s medical examinations. The Ivory Coast international has returned to Dortmund to undergo further tests, and now faces some time on the sidelines. And the BVB bosses are already being offered potential replacements.

According to Sky Sport, Borussia Dortmund have been offered the chance to sign former FC Barcelona and Liverpool striker Luis Suarez. The 35 year old is currently without a club after leaving Atletico Madrid in the summer.

Suarez has been linked with a number of teams in recent weeks. But it is currently unclear where he will be playing next season. He scored 13 goals in 45 appearances across all competitions for Atletico Madrid last season.

It still remains to be seen whether Borussia Dortmund are actually interested in signing Suarez, or if they will even look to sign a new striker in the coming weeks. However, Sky Sport add that those in charge at BVB are currently looking at possible alternatives, and Suarez is apparently one of their options.
