Borussia Dortmund begin their 2022/23 campaign on Friday evening with a trip to 1860 Munich in the first round of the DFB-Pokal.

Pre-season is over and Borussia Dortmund are set to return to competitive action on Friday as they take on third division side 1860 Munich in the first round of the DFB-Pokal. The game will mark the start of a new era at BVB, and Edin Terzic will be aiming to lead his side to a straightforward win.

Borussia Dortmund have a few injury issues going into the game, with Salih Özcan, Felix Passlack and Tom Rothe already ruled out. Mahmoud Dahoud, Gregor Kobel and Emre Can are expected to be fit, but Gio Reyna and Mateu Morey will miss the game as they look to get back to full fitness after recently recovering from their long-term injuries.

Here is a look at how Borussia Dortmund could line up for their DFB-Pokal tie against 1860 Munich on Friday.

Goalkeeper: Gregor Kobel

Gregor Kobel is set to be fit after missing the Villarreal game last week due to a knock. The Swiss shot-stopper was one of Borussia Dortmund’s top performers last season, and he will be determined to pick up right where he left off.
