Borussia Dortmund will be without new signing Niklas Süle as they go up against Bayer Leverkusen on matchday one of the 2022/23 Bundesliga season.

Borussia Dortmund will begin their bid to win the Bundesliga title this weekend with a home game against Bayer Leverkusen. The Black and Yellows comfortably dispatched 1860 Munich in the first round of the DFB-Pokal last weekend, but Leverkusen will certainly offer them with a much tougher test.

There have been 57 goals in the last 11 meetings between these two sides, and another enthralling clash awaits us at the Signal Iduna Park on Saturday evening.

Edin Terzic confirmed during his pre-match press conference that Niklas Süle will miss Saturday’s game after suffering an injury last week. Felix Passlack and Tom Rothe are also injured, but Salih Özcan could make his Borussia Dortmund debut this weekend after recovering from his injury.

Here is a look at how Borussia Dortmund could line up for their Bundesliga matchday one clash against Bayer Leverkusen.

Goalkeeper: Gregor Kobel

Gregor Kobel will start between the sticks for Borussia Dortmund on Saturday. He did not have much to do in the Pokal win over 1860 Munich, but Leverkusen’s dangerous attack will no doubt cause him a few problems on Saturday.
