Edin Terzic heaped praise on Jamie Bynoe-Gittens after his performance off the bench helped Borussia Dortmund seal a come from behind win over SC Freiburg on Friday.

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens announced his arrival to Borussia Dortmund’s first-team in style on Friday. Just days after celebrating his 18th birthday, the highly rated winger came off the bench and spearheaded his side’s incredible second half comeback against SC Freiburg.

It was an excellent cameo performance from Bynoe-Gittens, and head coach Edin Terzic was full of praise of him after the game.

"“With him, it’s basically quite simple: he has the ability to decide games,” Terzic told DAZN. “He’s a game-changer – and that’s what I wanted to see from him.”“In the first half, we had a few spaces between the lines where we were stuck in the back line for too long. Jamie, however, is someone who can get in there and open things up with his first touch – and, above all, speed the game up again.”“That’s how we had imagined it. He livened up the game very well and was involved in a lot of good offensive actions.”"

Bynoe-Gittens has enjoyed a stunning rise over the last few months. He played a crucial role in helping the Borussia Dortmund U-19s win the U-19s Bundesliga title last season, and was rewarded with a permanent place in the first-team squad. He also helped the England U-19s win the European Championships last month. And on Friday, he scored his first ever senior goal.

There was a stroke of good fortune about his goal, as Freiburg goalkeeper Mark Flekken fumbled what should have been a fairly routine save. But he certainly deserved his slice of luck based on his overall performance.

Borussia Dortmund were 1-0 down and looked to be out of ideas when Jamie Bynoe-Gittens was introduced in the 64th minute. And he made a telling impact on the game after coming off the bench.
