FC Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing Borussia Dortmund right-back Thomas Meunier, but are not prepared to pay more than 10 million euros for his signature.

Thomas Meunier is once again being linked with a move away from Borussia Dortmund, with reports in Spain claiming that FC Barcelona have chosen him as their preferred target for the right-back role.

According to Spanish newspaper Sport, Barcelona do not want to pay more than ten million euros for Meunier. The report adds that Borussia Dortmund want a transfer fee of around 15 million euros if they are to part ways with the Belgian international.

FC Barcelona made an attempt to sign Meunier during the January transfer window as well. But Borussia Dortmund’s reluctance to sell the 30 year old meant that the move did not go through in the end.

With less than three weeks left before the transfer window closes, it remains to be seen if the BVB bosses would be willing to let Meunier depart this month. There would not be a whole lot of time left for Borussia Dortmund to find a replacement, and sporting director Sebastian Kehl said last week that the majority of their transfer business has already been done.

Marius Wolf, Mateu Morey, and Felix Passlack are the other right-backs in the Borussia Dortmund first-team squad, and Emre Can is also capable of playing in that role.
