Report: Manchester United interested in signing Thomas Meunier

Thomas Meunier is said to be attracting the interest of Manchester United, with the English Premier League side reportedly proposing a bid of around €15 million.
Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Borussia Dortmund right-back Thomas Meunier, who has also been linked with FC Barcelona in recent days. According to the Telegraph, a fee of around €15 million has been proposed for the Belgian international who has two years left on his current contract.
The report adds that Manchester United have not yet made an offer for Meunier. But they view him as a more attainable target than Sergino Dest, who Barcelona are looking to sell.
It still remains to be seen if Borussia Dortmund would be willing to sell Meunier so late in the transfer window. The BVB bosses turned down a bid for Meunier from FC Barcelona late in the January transfer window as well.
And with just two weeks left before the transfer window closes, selling Meunier would leave them with hardly any time to find a replacement.
Meunier has started the season as Borussia Dortmund’s first-choice right-back. Although, he was subbed off at half-time in the game against SC Freiburg last week. Marius Wolf, Mateu Morey, and Felix Passlack are the other right-backs in the BVB first-team squad, while Emre Can has also been used in that role in the past.
Thomas Meunier joined Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer from Paris St. Germain in 2020, and has been a polarising figure among the club’s supporters ever since. He has made 62 appearances for BVB so far.
