Report: Borussia Dortmund will keep tabs on Bradley Fink for the future
According to RN, Borussia Dortmund have not completely written off Bradley Fink as an option for the future despite the striker’s move to FC Basel.
The departure of Bradley Fink to FC Basel from Borussia Dortmund was made official in recent days, with many questioning whether or not it was the right move for Die Schwarzgelben to part ways with the promising young striker. New information brought to light by Ruhr Nachrichten suggests that Fink’s departure from Borussia Dortmund may not be as permanent as initially believed.
According to RN, Dortmund have formulated a plan to bring the young Swiss striker back into the fold should he develop quickly in Switzerland with FC Basel. While it was noted that the club do not have a traditional buyback clause, they have secured “access rights”, which one can infer means that Dortmund will be first in line for the striker should his form skyrocket in the coming years.
Fink himself expressed nothing but gratitude for his time with Borussia Dortmund, taking to instagram with a heartfelt farewell message:
"“I was allowed to play for the greatest club, train in one of the world’s best academies and develop further. It’s a real privilege.“"
The move makes sense from Fink’s standpoint. Dortmund are very much focused on keeping Youssoufa Moukoko as their striker for the future, which made his chances of senior appearances less likely. A move to Basel will be good for his development and one day, if his performances live up to a high standard, he may yet find himself playing in the Wesfalenstadion in black and yellow.
