Thomas Meunier has denied claims that he has had a falling out with Borussia Dortmund head coach Edin Terzic.

Borussia Dortmund suffered their first defeat of the season on Saturday, as they lost 3-2 to Werder Bremen. BILD claimed earlier on Sunday that Thomas Meunier – who was an unused substitute for the game – has had a falling out with BVB head coach Edin Terzic. The tabloid also added that the Belgian international said on Saturday that he wants to leave the club.

But Thomas Meunier has now put cold water on the report from BILD, calling it ‘propaganda’. The right-back left a comment on Instagram under a post about the report from Spox.

After enduring a difficult evening in the Bundesliga matchday two clash against SC Freiburg, Meunier was left out of the starting XI for Saturday’s game against Werder Bremen. Marius Wolf came into the team to replace him.

Meunier has been heavily linked with a move away from Borussia Dortmund in recent days, with reports claiming that both FC Barcelona and Manchester United are interested in signing him. BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl has already made it clear that they have not received any offers as of yet, and they are not planning to sell the 30 year old.

There are less than two weeks left before the transfer window closes, and a potential departure of Thomas Meunier would leave those in charge at Borussia Dortmund with hardly any time to find a replacement. The defender has two years left on his current BVB contract.
