Borussia Dortmund will likely have to make do without Donyell Malen for their game against Hertha Berlin on Saturday, with the forward still dealing with muscular problems.

Donyell Malen suffered a muscle injury last week and missed Borussia Dortmund’s Bundesliga clash against Werder Bremen as a result. And the Netherlands international is not likely to be fit in time for his side’s game against Hertha BSC this weekend either. According to Ruhr Nachrichten, Malen missed Tuesday’s training session and will probably not be available for the trip to Berlin.

The 23 year old made a strong start to the season, so his likely absence will certainly be a blow for Borussia Dortmund as they look to return to winning ways this weekend.

Mahmoud Dahoud is also a doubt for Saturday’s game after suffering a shoulder injury during the defeat to Werder Bremen last weekend. However, Mats Hummels and Nico Schlotterbeck are both set to be available against Hertha despite their injury scares. The defensive duo trained with the team on Tuesday.

Another player who will be aiming to make his return this weekend is Karim Adeyemi. The German international suffered a toe injury during the matchday one clash against Bayer Leverkusen. And the Borussia Dortmund attack has looked somewhat blunted in his absence. Kicker report that Adeyemi missed Tuesday’s training session, but there is a good chance that he will be available this weekend.
