Borussia Dortmund bounced back from last weekend’s defeat with a 1-0 win over Hertha Berlin courtesy of Anthony Modeste’s first half header.

It wasn’t the best of performances, but Borussia Dortmund got the job done away from home against a determined Hertha Berlin side. Anthony Modeste’s first goal in a BVB shirt was the difference maker, as the Black and Yellows returned to winning ways in the Bundesliga.

Borussia Dortmund also needed some excellent saves from Gregor Kobel, who kept another well earned clean sheet. While Salih Özcan showed his quality on his debut. But Edin Terzic will no doubt be concerned by his team’s poor finishing, with a number of big chances going astray in the second half.

Here are our player ratings for the Borussia Dortmund players from their 1-0 win over Hertha Berlin.

Gregor Kobel (8/10)

Kobel was forced into action very early on, but made an outstanding fingertip save to keep the scores level. He was tested by the Hertha players on a number of occasions, but managed to deal with everything they threw at him en route to a well deserved clean sheet.
