Borussia Dortmund will go up against Manchester City on Wednesday for matchday two of the UEFA Champions League group stage.

The condensed UEFA Champions League group stage continues on Wednesday, with Borussia Dortmund set to face English Premier League champions Manchester City. There will be reunions with former BVB players Erling Haaland, Ilkay Gündogan, Manuel Akanji and Sergio Gomez. But more importantly, Edin Terzic’s side will be aiming to build on last week’s impressive win over FC Copenhagen.

Borussia Dortmund have a big injury list ahead of the game. Gregor Kobel, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, Mahmoud Dahoud, Sebastien Haller and Mateu Morey are all sidelined. But Karim Adeyemi, Donyell Malen and Thorgan Hazard have made the trip to Manchester, bolstering the forward line that has not been able to click just yet.

It will be interesting to see if Terzic makes any changes to the side that was hammered by RB Leipzig over the weekend. Here is a look at how Borussia Dortmund could line up for their UEFA Champions League group stage clash against Manchester City.

Goalkeeper: Alexander Meyer

Alexander Meyer will start between the sticks once again on Wednesday, filling in for the injured Gregor Kobel. The summer signing did not have the best of afternoons against Leipzig, and he will be in for another busy evening on Wednesday.
