Report: Erling Haaland eyeing reunion with Jude Bellingham at Manchester City
Former Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland reportedly wants Jude Bellingham to join Manchester City next summer.
The summer transfer window is still several months away, but Jude Bellingham’s future has already become a big talking point in England. Several top clubs are interested in signing the Borussia Dortmund midfielder, including Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester United.
And BILD are reporting that former Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland is trying to convince Bellingham to join Manchester City. The two developed a great partnership at BVB last season, and the tabloid claims that Haaland wants to link up with Bellingham again next season for Pep Guardiola’s side.
Borussia Dortmund have made it clear that they want Jude Bellingham to stay at the club beyond the end of the season. And they are even said to be willing to offer him a new contract in a bid to fend off interest from other clubs. According to BILD, the BVB bosses are relaxed about Bellingham’s future, with three years left on his current contract.
Jude Bellingham said earlier this month that he is very happy at Borussia Dortmund, adding that he is very grateful to the club for giving him an opportunity to play at the highest level.
The 19 year old has enjoyed a remarkable rise since joining Borussia Dortmund from hometown club Birmingham City in 2020. He has gone from strength to strength, and was even appointed the club’s third captain before the start of the season. Bellingham has made ten appearances so far this season for the Black and Yellows, scoring three goals.
