Gio Reyna will be sidelined for the next 7-10 days after picking up an injury on international duty, but Marco Reus could return to training as early as next week.
Borussia Dortmund will have to make do without Gio Reyna for at least their next three games after the attacking midfielder pulled a muscle while on international duty with the United States earlier this week.
Head coach Edin Terzic revealed during his pre-match press conference on Thursday that the 19 year old will be sidelined for the next 7-10 days. And the injury will see him miss Borussia Dortmund’s Bundesliga matches against FC Köln and Bayern Munich, as well as the trip to FC Sevilla in the UEFA Champions League next week.
Meanwhile, Marco Reus appears to have avoided a serious injury and could be back in training as early as next week. The Borussia Dortmund captain had to be stretchered off the pitch after injuring his ankle during the game against Schalke 04 two weeks ago, and there were even fears that he may be forced to miss the FIFA World Cup.
But Terzic announced on Thursday that they are hoping that Reus will be able to gradually make his return to training next week.
It still remains to be seen when Marco Reus will be able to make his return to action. But having him available again soon would be a big boost for Borussia Dortmund, who have a number of crunch games coming up in October in the Bundesliga, UEFA Champions League and DFB-Pokal.
