Borussia Dortmund face another tough test in the Bundesliga this weekend as they make the trip to the German capital to take on league leaders Union Berlin.

Borussia Dortmund’s unrelenting run of fixtures continues this weekend as they go up against Bundesliga leaders Union Berlin. The Black and Yellows will be eager to return to winning ways this weekend after drawing their last two games. But beating Union Berlin away from home will certainly not be an easy task, as Dortmund have found out over the years.

Union Berlin have made a dream start to their season and are currently sitting pretty at the top of the Bundesliga standings. They are four points clear of both Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich, and have the best defensive record in the league at the moment (with just six goals conceded from their opening nine games).

Borussia Dortmund could welcome Marco Reus back into the squad for Sunday’s game, with the club captain back in training after recovering from his ankle injury.

Thomas Meunier and Raphael Guerreiro have made the trip to Berlin despite being injury doubts ahead of the game. But Anthony Modeste and Marius Wolf have not traveled with the squad. Long-term absentees Sebastien Haller, Mahmoud Dahoud, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens and Mateu Morey are also sidelined.

Borussia Dortmund will have to be wary of Sheraldo Becker and Jordan Siebatcheu, who have formed a very exciting attacking partnership for Union Berlin. But Urs Fischer’s side have quality all over the pitch, and they will look to frustrate BVB with their discipline and resilience.
