Edin Terzic is keen to ensure that Borussia Dortmund end the calendar year on a high as they prepare for two tricky away games.

Borussia Dortmund cruised to a 3-0 win over VfL Bochum on Saturday in their final home game of 2022. BVB have two more games left to play before the Bundesliga takes a two month break. Edin Terzic was pleased with the way his side got the job done against Bochum. And he is now keen to ensure that his players can finish off the year strongly.

"“We really wanted to win the last home game of this calendar year,” Terzic said. “We had good tempo from the start and were able to reward ourselves early. We wanted to keep our foot on the gas after going 2-0 up, unfortunately that didn’t work so well.”“But it was important to get the win at home. Now we have two more challenging tasks waiting for us. We’ve laid the groundwork to be able to go into those games with a great deal of confidence."

The next two games will certainly be crucial to Borussia Dortmund’s hopes for the current campaign. BVB have struggled when playing away from home in the Bundesliga so far this season. And playing two away games back to back in the Bundesliga next week will not be easy, especially considering the teams they will be facing.

Borussia Dortmund will go up against VfL Wolfsburg on Tuesday evening, with Niko Kovac’s side currently on a seven game unbeaten run. They have won their last two games, scoring seven unanswered goals in the process.

BVB will then head to the Borussia-Park to take on Borussia Mönchengladbach on Friday evening for their final competitive game of 2022. Gladbach are currently rebuilding under Daniel Farke and have one of the best home records in the Bundesliga. So they will no doubt offer a tough test to Borussia Dortmund.
