A catastrophic defensive performance paved the way for a heavy defeat as Borussia Dortmund were beaten by Borussia Mönchengladbach in their final game of 2022.

A miserable 2022 ended in the worst way possible for Borussia Dortmund as they were handed a 4-2 defeat by Borussia Mönchengladbach on Friday evening. It was one of the Black and Yellows‘ worst performances of the season, as they allowed Gladbach to counter-attack at will all game long. And what followed was a well deserved second defeat of the week.

Borussia Dortmund were outplayed from the first whistle to the last. And there are now plenty of question marks for Edin Terzic and his team to deal with heading into the winter break.

Here are our player ratings for the Borussia Dortmund players from their 4-2 defeat to Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Gregor Kobel (6/10)

Kobel prevented the scoreline from getting much worse for his side by making some fine saves. He wasn’t at fault for any of Gladbach’s goals but was let down by those in front of him once again.
