Report: Borussia Dortmund keeping tabs on Leeds United full-back Cody Drameh
Borussia Dortmund are said to be following the progress of Leeds United full-back Cody Drameh, who could leave the club in January.
Highly rated Leeds United full-back Cody Drameh is attracting the interest of a number of clubs in Europe. According to Fabrizio Romano, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen, Newcastle United and LOSC Lille are all keeping tabs on the 20 year old. The report adds that he could leave Leeds United in January.
Drameh has found playing time hard to come by at Leeds United despite impressing on loan at Cardiff City last season. He has been limited to just two appearances so far this season, with head coach Jesse Marsch preferring to use Rasmus Kristensen at right-back.
Drameh is primarily a right-back, but he is also capable of playing at left-back. The England U-21s international has just over 18 months left on his current contract with the English Premier League club. Despite his lack of playing time, Drameh is rated highly in England and is considered to be a very exciting player with lots of potential.
It remains to be seen how real Borussia Dortmund’s interest is in signing Cody Drameh. The Black and Yellows are also said to be in talks to sign Ramy Bensebaini on a free transfer in the summer. Although the Algerian international is a left-back.
Thomas Meunier, Mateu Morey and Felix Passlack are the right-backs in Borussia Dortmund’s current senior squad. Although injuries have forced Niklas Süle to fill in at right-back on a number of occasions this season.
