Borussia Dortmund will go up against Singapore side Lion City Sailors on Thursday in the first friendly match as part of their Asia Tour.

Borussia Dortmund’s Asia Tour is in full swing, and they will play the first of their three friendly matches on Thursday evening as they take on the Lion City Sailors in Singapore. The Black and Yellows have taken a strong 25-man squad to Asia, and a number of first-team stars will be in action at the Jalan Besar Stadium.

After being left out of Germany’s squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Mats Hummels will lead Borussia Dortmund against the Lion City Sailors on Thursday. Marco Reus has also made the trip, but is still recovering from his injury and will not play in any of BVB’s three upcoming friendlies.

But fans will get to see the likes of Salih Özcan, Donyell Malen, Emre Can, and a number of the team’s talented young players in action. Jayden Braaf, Prince Aning, Göktan Gürpüz and Julian Rijkhoff are four of the many highly rated players in the BVB squad for their Asia Tour.

Borussia Dortmund will have to make do without the 11 players who are currently on World Cup duty, as well as the players who are currently sidelined with injuries and illness.
