Edin Terzic not expecting Borussia Dortmund to be active in the January transfer window

Edin Terzic is not expecting Borussia Dortmund to make any major changes to their squad during the upcoming January transfer window.
It has been a fairly underwhelming season so far for Borussia Dortmund, who find themselves in sixth place in the Bundesliga standings. Edin Terzic has admitted that the Black and Yellows are not satisfied with where they are in the table. But he is not expecting them to make any major moves in the winter transfer window.
In an interview with Ruhr Nachrichten, the Borussia Dortmund head coach said:
"“Of course, we’ll keep a close eye on what’s happening. But for us, I don’t see there being any major activity in the transfer market. There are a lot of players who will be available on a free transfer next summer, so maybe there will be some movement there.”"
Borussia Dortmund have been linked with a number of players in recent weeks. Most notably, the BVB bosses are said to be interested in signing Ramy Bensebaini from Borussia Mönchengladbach. But the likelihood is that they will look to sign him in the summer, when he will be out of contract.
Borussia Dortmund also had to deal with a slew of injuries during the first half of the season. A number of players were forced to spend considerable time on the sidelines, and that certainly played a big role in the team’s inconsistent performances.
Terzic feels that having the likes of Marco Reus, Mahmoud Dahoud and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens back in the mix after the winter break will be a big boost for the team.
"“So many players will return after their injuries and will be fully available to us again in January. For us, they will feel like new signings.”"
The Borussia Dortmund players not involved at the 2022 FIFA World Cup are currently in Asia for a mid-season camp. BVB will resume their season after the winter break with a home game against FC Augsburg on January 22.
