Thomas Meunier could reportedly leave Borussia Dortmund in the January transfer window, with FC Barcelona once again interested in signing him.

Thomas Meunier is facing an uncertain future at Borussia Dortmund, with reports in Spain claiming that he is once again on FC Barcelona’s list of transfer targets. The right-back has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona over the last 12 months. And it appears that the Spanish giants are still chasing his signature.

According to BILD, Barcelona are set to resurrect their interest in Meunier in the January transfer window. And chances are that he could leave Borussia Dortmund after two and a half underwhelming seasons at the club.

The 31 year old joined Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer from Paris St. Germain in 2020 and has made a total of 73 appearances for the club. Despite being the Black and Yellows’ first-choice right-back for the majority of his time with the club, Meunier has not been able to make the desired impact on a consistent basis.

Manchester United, Juventus, and AC Milan are also said to be interested in signing Thomas Meunier. The Belgian international has just over 18 months left on his current contract with Borussia Dortmund.

BILD add that Nico Schulz could also leave Borussia Dortmund in January. Lazio are reportedly interested in signing the left-back on an initial loan deal, and are also prepared to pay 50% of his wages. Schulz has not made a single competitive appearance for BVB this season and is free to leave the club.
