Borussia Dortmund and Tottenham Hotspur both reportedly have Eintracht Frankfurt attacking midfielder Daichi Kamada on their list of targets.

Daichi Kamada is enjoying an impressive season with Eintracht Frankfurt. And his performances have seen him attract the interest of a number of top clubs. According to BILD, Borussia Dortmund and Tottenham Hotspur are both interested in signing the 26 year old. Kamada’s current contract with Eintracht Frankfurt is set to expire at the end of the season, and he could be available on a free transfer in the summer.

Eintracht Frankfurt have offered Kamada a new contract. But BILD claim that talks are stalling, and an extension is currently not in sight. He now faces a difficult decision about his future in the coming months.

Daichi Kamada has been one of Eintracht Frankfurt’s top performers this season, and has 12 goals and four assists to his name in just 22 appearances across all competitions. He also helped Japan beat Germany and Spain at the FIFA World Cup, before their run came to an end in the round of 16 as they lost on penalties to Croatia.

Kamada is primarily an attacking midfielder, but he is also capable of playing out wide and in a slightly deeper role in midfield. He revealed last month that he wants to stay with Eintracht Frankfurt at least until the end of the season, but added that he is keeping all options open at the moment.

Borussia Dortmund are also said to be interested in signing Mohammed Kudus from Ajax. So it appears that bolstering the team’s attacking midfield ranks appears to be high on the BVB bosses’ agenda for next summer.
