Borussia Dortmund reportedly join race for highly rated right-back Iván Fresneda
Highly rated Real Valladolid right-back Iván Fresneda is attracting the interest of a number of top clubs in Europe. And Borussia Dortmund have reportedly joined the race for his signature.
Bringing in reinforcements at full-back appears to be high on Borussia Dortmund’s list of priorities for next summer. The Black and Yellows have been linked with a number of right-backs and left-backs in recent weeks. And now they are also said to be keeping tabs on Iván Fresneda.
According to Fabrizio Romano, BVB have joined the race for the talented Real Valladolid right-back. Fresneda is attracting the interest of a number of big clubs in Europe, including Juventus, Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle United.
The 18 year old is considered to be one of the most exciting young players in Spain, and is enjoying a breakout season in La Liga with Real Valladolid. He has made a total of seven appearances so far this season.
Recent reports in Spain have claimed that Iván Fresneda has a release clause of 30 million euros in his contract, which may put him out of Borussia Dortmund’s price range if Real Valladolid do indeed demand that fee.
Borussia Dortmund may look to sign a new right-back in January or in the summer, depending on Thomas Meunier’s future. The Belgian international is attracting the interest of FC Barcelona. And he may look to leave BVB next month. Dortmund have also been linked with Feyenoord right-back Lutsharel Geertruida in recent weeks. But Ruhr Nachrichten reported recently that he is not a target for the club at the moment.
