Four Borussia Dortmund players with contracts expiring at the end of the season are expected to leave the club in the summer.
A number of Borussia Dortmund players are set to be out of contract in the summer, and their futures appear to be uncertain going into the final six months of their current deals. While the likes of Marco Reus and Mats Hummels are set to receive contract extensions, it appears that a number of other players with expiring contracts will be leaving the club in the summer.
According to WAZ, Raphael Guerreiro, Anthony Modeste, Felix Passlack and Luca Unbehaun are all expected to leave Borussia Dortmund when their contracts expire in the summer. In addition, the BVB bosses are also looking to sell Nico Schulz but have yet to receive any concrete offers.
There has been a fair bit of speculation surrounding Guerreiro’s future in recent weeks, with reports claiming that Borussia Dortmund are looking to replace him with Ramy Bensebaini. The Portuguese international has made a total of 206 appearances for BVB since joining the club in 2016. But it looks like his time at the club will come to an end soon.
Anthony Modeste only joined Borussia Dortmund in the summer as the stop-gap replacement for Sebastien Haller. FC Köln are reportedly considering re-signing him on a free transfer in the summer.
The futures of Felix Passlack and Luca Unbehaun also appear to lie away from Borussia Dortmund. Passlack has been limited to just four appearances so far this season, while Unbehaun has yet to make his first-team debut.
