Anthony Elanga is reportedly interested in joining Borussia Dortmund on a loan deal this month. But the final decision on his future rests in the hands of Manchester United.
Borussia Dortmund are said to be interested in signing Anthony Elanga on loan until the end of the season, and the winger wants to leave Manchester United this month. According to Fabrizio Romano, his priority would be to join the Black and Yellows. But Manchester United will make the final decision on his future.
Elanga has been left frustrated by his lack of playing time at Manchester United this season. The Sweden international has been limited to just 18 appearances so far this season, and has spent just 604 minutes on the pitch.
Borussia Dortmund are looking to sign Elanga on loan to add some much needed depth and competition for places to their attack. Edin Terzic’s side often struggled going forward in the first half of the season, and managed to score just 25 goals in 15 Bundesliga matches.
It remains to be seen if the move will go through before the transfer window closes in two weeks’ time. A number of English Premier League clubs, including Everton, are also said to be interested in signing Anthony Elanga. And Manchester United may want him to stay in England if they do decide to send him out on loan this month.
Elanga, who broke into the Manchester United first-team last season, has four goals and three assists to his name in 47 appearances for the club.
