Thorgan Hazard is reportedly free to leave Borussia Dortmund this month after falling out of favour under Edin Terzic.

Thorgan Hazard was left out of the Borussia Dortmund squad for Wednesday’s trip to Mainz 05. And the Belgian international could soon leave the club, if reports are to be believed. According to Ruhr Nachrichten, the Black and Yellows haven’t received any offers for Hazard yet. But he could leave the club this month, or in the summer transfer window at the latest.

The 29 year old is reportedly considering a new challenge in England or Italy. It remains to be seen if he will be able to secure a move away from Borussia Dortmund before the transfer window closes next week.

Borussia Dortmund have already found their replacement for Hazard, with compatriot Julien Duranville joining the club from Anderlecht. The highly rated 16 year old winger is set to be a part of the first-team squad straight away. And Hazard is unlikely to get much playing time if he decides to stay at the club beyond the end of the month.

Thorgan Hazard, who joined Borussia Dortmund from Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2019, has less than 18 months left on his current contract with the club. The winger has made 122 appearances for BVB, scoring 18 goals and assisting 21.

While he refused to reveal any specifics, he did say that BVB could be active in the transfer market in the coming days, both in terms of arrivals and departures.
