Thorgan Hazard left out of the Borussia Dortmund squad yet again
Thorgan Hazard has not been included in the Borussia Dortmund squad for their trip to Bayer Leverkusen and is free to leave the club this month.
Thorgan Hazard is set to miss his second game in a row after being left out of the Borussia Dortmund squad for their Bundesliga clash against Bayer Leverkusen on Sunday. The winger is free to leave the Black and Yellows this month. Reports in the Netherlands claim that PSV Eindhoven are interested in signing him.
Hazard has been reduced to a bit-part role this season, and has spent just 739 minutes on the pitch so far.
The Belgian international has scored one goal in 21 appearances for Edin Terzic’s side across all competitions so far this season. And it does not look like his situation will change much in the second half of the season unless he manages to secure a move away from the club.
Hazard, who joined Borussia Dortmund from Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2019, has just under 18 months left on his current contract with the club. But the BVB bosses are open to letting him leave this month, or in the summer at the latest.
It was reported earlier this week that the 29 year old is considering a new challenge in England or Italy.
Borussia Dortmund have already replaced Thorgan Hazard with 16 year old winger Julien Duranville, who joined the club on a long-term contract earlier this week. BVB paid an initial fee of 8.5 million euros to sign the highly rated winger from Belgian club Anderlecht.
