Borussia Dortmund are set for a fairly quiet transfer deadline day, although Thorgan Hazard and Nico Schulz could leave the club.

The January transfer window is set to slam shut on Tuesday, and Borussia Dortmund are not expected to make any more signings. The Black and Yellows have already completed the signings of Julian Ryerson from Union Berlin and Julien Duranville from RSC Anderlecht.

Borussia Dortmund remain interested in signing highly rated Real Valladolid right-back Ivan Fresneda. But even if the two clubs manage to reach an agreement on Tuesday, the 18 year old is expected to stay in Spain until the end of the season.

There could be some movement on the departures’ side, with Thorgan Hazard likely to leave the club. The Belgian international is attracting the interest of Dutch side PSV Eindhoven. While English Premier League side Everton are also keeping tabs on him.

Hazard’s preference is to join PSV, and Ruhr Nachrichten are reporting that he has already reached an agreement with the club. The Dutch giants would like to sign him on loan with an option or obligation to make the signing permanent at the end of the season.

A number of details still need to be resolved before the transfer can go through. But the hope is that an agreement can be reached on transfer deadline day.

Thorgan Hazard has fallen out of favour at Borussia Dortmund this season, and is free to leave the club. The 29 year old has less than 18 months left on his current contract with BVB.

Meanwhile, Nico Schulz is said to be attracting the interest of Italian side Atalanta, with Sport1 claiming that talks are underway between the two parties. It currently remains to be seen if the move will go through on deadline day.

Felix Passlack has also been linked with a move away from Borussia Dortmund. But he has now decided to stay at the club until his contract expires in the summer.
