Edin Terzic has said that they will re-evaluate Thorgan Hazard’s future at Borussia Dortmund at the end of his loan spell with PSV Eindhoven.

Thorgan Hazard left Borussia Dortmund on transfer deadline day to join PSV Eindhoven on loan until the end of the season. After enduring a frustrating first half of the season in Dortmund, the Belgian international will now look to play a key role in the Dutch side’s bid to win the Eredivisie title.

Edin Terzic spoke about Hazard’s loan move on Thursday, and stated that it is a good opportunity for him to get regular playing time.

The BVB head coach also added that they will discuss the winger’s future at the end of the season when he returns to Dortmund after his loan spell.

"“We have always been in contact with each other. He feels good about this move, it’s a good transfer for him. Eindhoven is in the middle of a championship fight. He will return in the summer, then we will re-evaluate the situation.”"

Thorgan Hazard was limited to just 739 minutes of playing time in the first half of the season, and was also asked to play out of position on a number of occasions. The 29 year old decided to leave BVB last month in search of regular playing time. He rejected interest from Premier League side Everton in favour of a move to PSV Eindhoven.

The Dutch giants do not have the option to sign Hazard on a permanent transfer at the end of the loan spell. So it remains to be seen what the future holds for him beyond the end of the season. Hazard, who joined Borussia Dortmund from Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2019, has just under 18 months left on his current contract with the Black and Yellows.
