Borussia Dortmund loan watch: Thorgan Hazard scores on PSV Eindhoven debut
Thorgan Hazard needed just six minutes to make his mark for PSV Eindhoven as he scored in their 2-2 draw against Feyenoord on Sunday.
Thorgan Hazard made his PSV Eindhoven debut on Sunday afternoon after joining the Dutch side on loan from Borussia Dortmund on transfer deadline day. And the Belgian international made an instant impact for his new club, as he found the back of the net just six minutes after coming on from the bench.
Hazard did really well to cut inside from the left wing and then fired the ball into the bottom corner of the net to double PSV’s lead in the 68th minute. It was an excellent finish from the 29 year old, who joined PSV in search of more playing time last month. But a late comeback from Feyenoord helped them salvage a 2-2 draw, with Alireza Jahanbakhsh scoring a 96th minute equaliser.
The Eredivisie title race remains very tightly contested, with Feyenoord currently sitting at the top of the standings. PSV Eindhoven are currently fourth, four points behind the top spot.
Meanwhile, Ansgar Knauff was an unused substitute on Saturday as Eintracht Frankfurt continued their impressive unbeaten run and cruised to a 3-0 win over Hertha Berlin. New signing Philipp Max replaced the 21 year old in the starting XI for the Eagles.
Knauff has been used at both right wing-back and left wing-back so far this season, and has made a total of 20 appearances across all competitions for Oliver Glasner’s side. He has one goal and two assists to his name.
