Report: Julian Brandt attracting Arsenal and Tottenham interest
By Tushar Bahl
Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are both said to be interested in signing Julian Brandt, who has been one of Borussia Dortmund’s top performers this season.
Julian Brandt is playing arguably the best football of his Borussia Dortmund career, and has found the back of the net in each of his last four appearances in the Bundesliga. His performances have not gone unnoticed, with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur both keen on signing him in the summer.
This is being reported by BILD, who add that a move to the English Premier League would definitely be an appealing one for Brandt. The playmaker said recently that he is happy at Borussia Dortmund, and hinted that he would be open to a contract extension at the club. But he also left his long-term future open.
Julian Brandt’s current contract at Borussia Dortmund is set to expire at the end of next season. And reports claim that the Black and Yellows would like to offer him an extension.
Brandt, who joined Borussia Dortmund from Bayer Leverkusen in 2019, has enjoyed quite a renaissance this season. His all-round game and consistency have been crucial to the team’s impressive run of form since the turn of the year. The 26 year old has nine goals and five assists to his name in 30 appearances across all competitions for BVB this season.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Brandt, but everyone at Borussia Dortmund will no doubt be hoping that he stays at the club for years to come.
