Borussia Dortmund will be without Karim Adeyemi for the second leg of their UEFA Champions League tie against Chelsea. But Gregor Kobel has made the trip to London.

Borussia Dortmund are traveling to London for the second leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie against Chelsea. The Black and Yellows have called up 24 players for this crunch clash, and Gregor Kobel has been included in the squad.

Kobel, who suffered a muscle injury while warming up ahead of Borussia Dortmund’s game against RB Leipzig on Friday, remains a doubt for Tuesday’s game. BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl told Ruhr Nachrichten that a decision on Kobel’s availability will be made on Tuesday.

The 25 year old remains a major doubt to play against Chelsea. Second-choice goalkeeper Alexander Meyer will start between the sticks if Kobel is not able to recover in time for the game.

Donyell Malen has recovered from his ankle knock to make the trip to London. But the game comes too soon for Karim Adeyemi, who has not yet recovered from his muscle fibre tear. Youssoufa Moukoko (ankle injury) and Julian Ryerson (suspension) have also not traveled to London.

Borussia Dortmund beat Chelsea 1-0 in the first leg of this round of 16 tie, courtesy of Karim Adeyemi’s second half goal. But there is still everything to play for going into the second leg, and we are all set for a hard fought contest between the two teams on Tuesday evening.
